The Experience of a lifetime...

Back in April 2018, I started my journey photographing Jordan's Royal Desert Patrol as I headed to the brigade's fortress in Al-Azraq. It was a wonderful experience that had to be cut short due to a sandstorm that forced my quick departure back to the capital city of Amman.

Then, following COVID, I requested permission to photograph this amazing brigade again and this book is the result of that journey. Through the tough desert heat and the tough desert cold, I met with the brigade in Jordan's famed desert of Wadi Rum - where movies like Lawrence of Arabia, Dune, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Aladdin, and many others were filmed - then in Bayir, in Al Hassa and in Amman.

I am truly honored that the brigade has become family to me. I was warmly welcomed and patiently taught about the Bedouin traditions and their amazing code of honor. All of which I had known the basics about while growing up but learned to appreciate and respect their ways even more after spending all that time with them.

I am truly grateful to every member of the brigade for everything I learned. My journey was truly awe-inspiring and I sincerely hope that, if you choose to purchase a copy of the book, that you will enjoy learning about the Bedouins and their way of life in the desert.
